We are pleased to introduce a two-part enhancement to our ePayments platform that provides our users with increased control over batching and funding payments:
The first part of this enhancement introduces a new permission profile called the Treasury Assistant. This profile is designed for users responsible for preparing payment batches. With the Treasury Assistant role, you can efficiently prepare and queue payment batches, ensuring accuracy and smooth processing.
The second part of this enhancement introduces the Queued status for payments. This feature allows Treasury Officers to easily review and sign off on payment batches. By implementing the Queued status, we have made it easier to manage and oversee the payment process.
The differences between the new Treasury Assistant profile and the Treasury Officer profile are detailed in the table below. For a detailed explanation of the Treasury Assistant profile and the Treasury Officer profile, click the button below to visit our Resource Center. These enhancements are intended to streamline your payment workflow and bring added convenience and efficiency to your financial operations.
There are many benefits to GCPay’s ePayment feature, such as faster processing and safer distribution of funds, but perhaps the biggest is the lien waiver exchange.
GCPay’s ePayment platform requires subcontractors to sign an unconditional lien waiver at the time of pay app submission. General contractors can view the document but it will remain watermarked as “unofficial” until paid.
Bank account information is secured and encrypted in GCPay, and payments are facilitated by our PCI-compliant processor, AvidXChange, a market leader in AP payment solutions.
Once the subcontractor receives payment, GCPay will automatically “unlock” the unconditional waiver and it will become an official document available for download.
A general contractor will no longer have to reach out to the subcontractor to collect signed unconditional waivers after payment. Click the button below for more information on Payment Waiver Exchange and GCPay’s ePayment features.
