In the past, reviewers needed to navigate away from the payment application to find waivers on the Overview tab or the Lien Waivers tab, both of which made it difficult to assess the lien waiver in conjunction with the associated payment application.
However, in January of this year, we added a feature that made it possible to view associated lien waivers from the application for payment review screen. Additionally, a Reviewer with Lien Officer permissions can approve or reject submitted lien waivers while reviewing the payment application - a simple update with an outsized effect. See this update on the screen below.
GCPay Release Notes are published frequently throughout the year as enhancements are made and new features are introduced in the product. Check them out here:
Adding a Required Document for Subcontractor Payment Application Submittals
Often a general contractor will desire a sub to send specific documents with a payment application for compliance, regulatory or owner reasons. GCPay makes doing this simple with our Required Documents setting which can be used on a project basis. Each general contractor can upload any document that they require a sub to complete and submit with each SOV, pay application, or change order. GCPay will not allow submission until all “required documents” are included per the general contractor setup.
Maintaining compliance and getting proper documentation from subs has never been easier with this feature. A general contractor can have peace of mind knowing that everything they need from a sub is going to come with each payment application. No more chasing down subs for additional documentation and delaying payments for projects!

Exhibiting at industry trade shows and conferences helped build the foundation of the GCPay customer base. These shows give us an opportunity to be visible within the industry and reinforce our credibility as a strong, successful software application for managing subcontractor payments. Now that they’re back in full force, there’s still nothing better than being in that exciting face-to-face setting to meet new prospects and visit with our current customers to reinforce the valuable benefits of GCPay!
