Sworn Statements That Fit the Chicago Title Standard—Now in GCPay
Creating and managing sworn statements just got even smoother. Last year, we made it easier for contractors and subcontractors to create and submit digital sworn statements right in GCPay. Now, we’ve taken that feature a step further with a new enhancement that supports Chicago Title–style formatting.
With the update, prime subcontractor contract and billing amounts are automatically populated in the sworn statement and compared against their corresponding tier vendor liabilities. Everything displays together in a single, organized table that meets Chicago Title’s standardized format.
The result? Less manual editing, fewer errors, and a faster, more accurate process for GCs and trade partners. It’s another way GCPay is making digital sworn statement workflows fit the way you work—no matter your project or region.

Custom Project Settings Designed for Every General Contractor
Customization is critical in construction project management software. Each project comes with unique challenges, stakeholders, and compliance requirements, making a one-size-fits-all approach insufficient. That’s why GCPay gives general contractors and owners the flexibility to tailor workflows, documentation, and reporting to fit the specific needs of every project.
This flexibility helps streamline communication between teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations. By aligning software features with real-world project needs—whether it’s adapting payment workflows, tracking specialized materials, or generating unique reports—general contractors can maximize efficiency and reduce administrative overhead.
Project Settings in GCPay allow general contractors to customize how subcontractors are managed for each project. Application for payment details such as "estimated working hours" and retainage can be set per project to match owner requirements or subcontractor preferences.
Electronic payments for AFPs can also be selected at the project level, giving general contractors the option to choose the payment method that works best for each job.
Other tracking options—like stored materials, tier vendors, and minority-owned reporting—can be customized for each project as well. Reports are ready to download or share as needed, helping general contractors and owners save time while keeping project data accurate and accessible.
Project settings can change throughout the year, so be sure to visit theClient Central page on the GCPay website to view release notes and stay up-to-date on all new feature enhancements.

Building Connections at Autodesk University 2025
From September 16–18, we joined thousands of construction and technology leaders at Autodesk University 2025 in Nashville, TN. The event was full of exciting updates from Autodesk, but for our GCPay community, one highlight stood out: the Stronger Integration sessions.
In “Better Together: Previewing the GCPay and Cost Management Integration,” attendees saw how GCPay’s workflows connect with Autodesk’s cost management tools. The goal? To reduce duplicate data entry, improve accuracy, and give teams a smoother way to manage payment applications and compliance alongside their project costs.
While Autodesk announced plenty of new innovations. like Autodesk Estimate, expanded Data Exchange Connectors, and natural-language automation through Autodesk Assistant, the integration sessions underscored the real benefit of events like AU: seeing how all the pieces fit together in the day-to-day of managing projects.
🎯 Why We Attend — And Why It Matters
Events like AU aren’t just about new software features. They’re about hearing directly from contractors, accountants, and project managers who want connected systems that save time and reduce headaches. For GCPay, being part of that conversation means making sure your financial workflows integrate seamlessly with the tools you already rely on.
We come back with fresh ideas, new connection points, and stories about how you’re using tech (or wishing you could). That helps guide how we build, support, and evolve.
We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to connect with you in person!
Until next time, –Danny
In this feature, we’re excited to introduce the team members who are crucial to delivering the exceptional service and product quality you expect from GCPay! This month, we’re highlighting DeShannon Lewis, Account Services Manager!

Active Listening – “It starts with really understanding what the client needs.”
Building Trust – “I’m always honest and transparent, and I follow through on what I promise.”
Effective Communication – “Keeping clients informed, being responsive, and staying proactive makes all the difference.”
One piece of advice DeShannon frequently offers, Use the chat! “A lot of clients assume it’s automated, but it connects you with a real person in real time. It’s one of the quickest ways to get support while using the software.”
DeShannon’s favorite part of working at GCPay is the people. “There’s a real camaraderie here. Everyone is so willing to jump in and help—it makes problem-solving seamless and fun.”
Outside of work, DeShannon loves spending time with his wife and children. He’s deeply involved in his community—volunteering at schools, churches, hospitals, and nursing homes. “It feels good to give back and inspire others,” he says. You’ll also find him courtside coaching his daughter’s basketball team, a hobby that brings plenty of joy (and friendly competition!).
Looking ahead, DeShannon is especially excited about what’s to come with GCPay’s integration into Autodesk. “It opens the door for more training, new features, and expanded support. That means even more opportunities to serve our clients and help them succeed.”
