Two recent enhancements give you more information at a glance, helping you quickly understand compliance status and make informed payment decisions. See the associated Schedule of Values directly in the compliance table The compliance table now displays the subcontractor’s associated Schedule of Values (SOV) inline, so you can see which SOV is tied to a compliance requirement without leaving the page. If a company is associated with more than three SOVs, a simple “+n” indicator lets you view the full list when needed, while keeping the table easy to scan. Get a clearer warning when compliance holds are not enforced GCPay ePayments includes a setting called “Block release of payments to subcontractors with outstanding compliance.” When enabled, this setting prevents payments from being released to a subcontractor with missing or expired compliance requirements.   Previously, if you used ePayments without this setting enabled, the payment holds dialog could display “All compliance requirement(s) look good,” even when outstanding requirements existed, because those requirements were not being enforced as a payment hold.   Now, when a subcontractor has outstanding or expired compliance and the blocker is turned off, you’ll see an amber warning triangle with the message:   “Outstanding compliance requirement(s), not enforced as payment hold.” This gives you a clear visual cue that compliance requirements are outstanding, while making it clear that they will not prevent the payment from being released.   If the compliance blocker is enabled, nothing changes. Outstanding compliance continues to display the existing red error icon and prevents the payment from being released.   Both enhancements are live now and require no setup on your end. They give you clearer compliance visibility and help you make payment decisions with the information you need, right where you’re already working.   Questions about compliance settings or how payment holds are enforced on your projects? The custom development of this feature makes it uniquely friendly for all general contractors, regardless of how they perform payments today. Key features of the GCPay ePayment and Waiver exchange feature, include the ability to manage payments at the project level or company level, and the ability to queue a batch of payments prior to creating a transfer. All of this is done quickly and easily by a designated role for each general contractor.   A lot of general contractors are still paying subcontractors’ invoices by paper check or ACH. The three biggest benefits to GCPay’s ePayment and Waiver Exchange feature is: Saves time/money versus paper check Removes risk by collecting and storing sub bank details  Automatically exchanges a signed unconditional waiver as soon as payment is received by the subcontractor GCPay has created two roles with different sets of permissions to help users manage ePayment. The fundamental role of the Treasury Assistant is to prepare and queue a payment batch (i.e. print checks) so that a Treasury Officer can later review and submit that batch for payment (i.e. sign checks). The differences between the Treasury Assistant profile and the Treasury Officer profile are detailed in the table below. Nayah joined GCPay in December 2025 after spending nearly four years as a Business Development Representative for Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud), where she developed experience building relationships with prospective customers and understanding their business challenges. Eager to continue helping customers beyond the sales process, she transitioned into her role at GCPay, where she now partners with customers to help them achieve long-term success and maximize the value of the platform.   As an Account Service Manager, Nayah works closely with customers to ensure they’re achieving their business objectives. Her responsibilities include monitoring account activity, recommending workflow improvements, providing training beyond onboarding, and keeping customers informed about new GCPay features and enhancements. What she enjoys most about her role is continuing GCPay’s reputation for exceptional customer satisfaction. “GCPay has a very good rapport with its customers, and I love being able to add onto that,” Nayah shares. She believes successful customer relationships begin with listening, building trust, and helping customers find the right solutions.   The one piece of advice Nayah wishes every customer would follow is simple: ask questions and take advantage of the resources available. She encourages customers to make the most of onboarding, continue working with their Account Services Manager and Support team, and utilize GCPay’s learning materials to strengthen their understanding of the platform.   One customer interaction that stands out to Nayah involved helping an account adopt GCPay ePayment. It was a meaningful reminder of how important it is to guide customers toward the right solution.   Outside of work, Nayah enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, working out, cooking, and trying new recipes. She’s excited about the continued growth of GCPay’s customer-facing teams and the opportunity to further strengthen her role as a strategic partner to her customers. Three Questions to Ask Before You Reject a Pay App Rejecting a pay application is sometimes necessary. The goal is to make sure the subcontractor understands exactly what needs to be corrected so the application can come back ready for approval.   Before you hit reject, ask yourself three questions: Is the reason for rejection clear? Have I explained exactly what needs to be corrected? Could the subcontractor resolve the issue without having to come back with more questions? A comment like “Please revise” doesn't give the subcontractor much to work with. A specific note, such as identifying the line item, amount, or missing documentation, gives them a clear path to correction.   Clear feedback can reduce back-and-forth, help applications get corrected the first time, and keep the payment process moving.   Before you reject, take an extra minute to make your feedback as clear and actionable as possible. It can save considerably more time on the next round.   Until next time, Mike   Visit Client Central Your one-stop destination for valuable customer resources! Submit G2 Review Customer Spotlight: InnoConn Construction For InnoConn Construction, ePayment has become a standard part of how they pay subcontractors. After trying it with one sub, Accounting Manager Wendy Swanson saw how quickly and easily the process worked. Today, InnoConn offers ePayment on every project.   The difference is significant. InnoConn processes 50 to 150 pay applications each month, and Wendy says subcontractors who use ePayment get paid in about one-third the time of those receiving paper checks.   There is another benefit. With ePayment and Waiver Exchange, lien waivers can be collected when payment is released, helping keep payment and compliance moving together.   For InnoConn, the result is a faster payment experience for subcontractors and less work managing the process.   As Wendy puts it: “I tried ePayment out with one of our subs and the process was so quick and easy that we've been suggesting to all our subs to get paid this way!” Read the Full Story Congratulations to Kristen Cory of Lemoine Company our August winner of a $100 Amazon Gift Card!    Here's your chance to WIN $100!   The answer is: What two new GCPay enhancements give you greater visibility into subcontractor compliance?    The information needed to complete the question "What is \_\_\_\_\_\_?" is included in this newsletter.
