Our unique waiver feature allows Lien Officers the ability to add additional waivers or documents to a pay application without affecting future pay apps.
Maybe you prefer to send lien waivers under only certain circumstances to your subcontractors or tier vendors? Perhaps you’d like to add a one-off sworn statement to a subcontractor’s pay application because they’ve included a lot of tier billing (or maybe they didn’t, but you have reason to believe they should have). Whatever the reason, the unique waiver feature is available for your one-off needs!
Select the Add Unique Lien Waiver button from the waivers modal to add a unique waiver. Click the button below to watch a brief demo of the feature.
GCPay makes it easy for contractors to track minority and disadvantaged participation on projects. Often, government agencies, owners, and internal organizational goals require a minimum percentage of work from small, women-owned, veteran-owned, or minority-owned businesses. The challenge is being able to track and report such participation on your jobs. That’s why GCPay created ourDMBE tracking and reporting feature. Originally developed for the State of Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise (DMBE), the feature has been adapted to encompass minority and disadvantaged participation tracking in general.
To enable the feature, select the Project Settings tab and scroll down to the DMBE Tracking/Reporting section to select the feature (If you don’t see the option, you can reach out to your account manager to have it turned on). Once Enable DMBE Trackingfor this job is selected, GCs can specify under which category a subcontractor or tier vendor qualifies, and thus track their participation, which is measured on the project-level DMBE Report.
We’d like your input to build this feature your way!Feel free to provide feedback directly to our product team through the survey below to help them design enhancements to GCPay’s DMBE tracking/reporting to best meet your needs.
A cornerstone of GCPay since our inception in 2003, GCPay provides seamless integrations with leading ERP providers. Keeping up with the ever-changing ERP landscape has been a top priority. We pursue these integrations to deliver efficiencies by eliminating data entry, eradicating data entry errors, automating lien waiver processing, and reducing the risk inherent to manually processing invoices and lien waivers.
We recently returned from the Acumatica Summit and received feedback directly from our clients that more and more of them are adopting Acumatica’s Construction Application every day and were eager for the team at GCPay to provide an integrated solution with this true cloud ERP solution. To that end, we are very happy to announce that we have completed the certification process, tested and deployed our integration with Acumatica. This new integration was developed and will be managed internally. This means it’s seamless and functions in the same way as our other ERP integrations.
The first of many customers are utilizing our integration with Acumatica and certification guarantees GCPay will remain current as Acumatica updates their cloud ERP offerings. We continue to research additional integrations with other Construction ERP systems and look forward to sharing those opportunities with you. We want to ensure, no matter your ERP selection, we continue to provide integrations that you have grown to love! Please contact your dedicated Account Manager for additional information.
Introducing Young Girls to Construction
A new industry book has caught our attention, and its unconventional topic makes it a must-read (to your kids!). It’s called “Girls Who Build”, and it’s aimed at parents, grandparents, and teachers to read to young children, as a group of inspiring girls introduce them to the world of construction and what it takes to build cities and homes.
The author, Marisa Richards has spent the last 12 years serving trades people in Illinois, focusing on community outreach to improve the construction workplace for women and establish diversity in order to engage, recruit and train more females to be part of the next generation of construction trades workers. This passion to have women not only come to the trades, but stay and have a rewarding career led her to realize that the conversation with girls had to start early and often to understand that construction is a viable option for their future.
We recently spoke to Marisa and she explained why writing this book is so important to her. “The concept of diversity and equity and inclusion and representation is just so rooted in my heart and soul. That's just what sparked the idea. Here I am with two young girls in my house. At first, I just wanted to show them, bring home a children’s book about construction. I searched the stores, went online. I could find a few, but there really weren't any showing girls. So, because of my writing background and knowledge of the industry, I thought I'd try to write it myself.”
This book is intended for women and men in the construction industry, both GCs and trades workers, to be able to show their young kids “this is the type of work I do”, through imagery and colorful pictures of girls doing a variety of different construction jobs. It shows that women can thrive in these non-traditional roles and allows parents to reinforce that their kids can do anything they set their mind to. Marisa shares “I hope to inspire the next generation to see beyond stereotypes and know that there’s space for everyone in construction.”
